Tres Pistolas, or Three Guns, is one of Albuquerque's Open Space lands which is outside the city limits on the eastern side of the Sandia Mountains. This study started as a plein air piece, but the no-see-ums were pestering me on this very hot summer evening and soon the light was gone. I finished this in the studio.
